How is it possible that kisama Why is "kisama" more refined than temee"temee"?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_differences_in_spoken_Japanese claims that kisama is "more refined than temee". From Wikipedia:

–§–  貴様 — formerly an extremely honorific form of address; in modern speech is as insulting as, but more refined than, "temee"

However I've always thought that kisama貴様 is so-called the "worst" leveloften said (in other words a level lower than temeeby textbooks) soto be the most insulting word used refer to someone, even more insulting than 手前.

Then, what exactly does the article mean when it says that kisama貴様 is more refined than temee手前?

Or is that information just plain wrong?
