Sep 28, 2022 at 6:23 comment added BCLC sundowner haha good question. i'm going against the norm. english japanese and even tagalog are all the same, but i go against them all. however i do say instead of simply 'no' to 'isn't 2+2=4?' like a full sentence 'no, you're right, 2+2=4.' people are a little confused at 1st but eventually they'll catch on and hopefully i'll reduce tag questions / question tags in the world or at least my world. mwahahahahaha.
Sep 8, 2022 at 23:55 comment added sundowner @BCLC Just curious, but should I? I think normally we are taught to answer in the negative to agree with a negative question. I know there are subtleties in English, but just as a general rule.

Sep 8, 2022 at 8:46 comment added sundowner No. It is basically just about Fuutarou-Father relationship. (It's possible people use otou-san to sound polite in front of some particular person when they actually use oyaji talking to Fathers).
Sep 8, 2022 at 8:43 comment added BCLC sundowner ah so it's not really about fuutarou and miku but about fuutarou and isanari?
Sep 8, 2022 at 8:34 comment added sundowner @BCLC Generally, oyaji is a rough term. In reality, it should be used rarely by teens. From the perspective of a father, it sounds disrespectful. In Fuutarou's case, (I guess) such was the relationship between him and his father - hence oyaji. (when a son grows up, it is acceptable to use oyaji without being disrespectful, but it should be not that common at least in greater Tokyo area).
Sep 8, 2022 at 8:20 comment added BCLC sundowner in the case of Fuutarou in Q2 does it suggest Fuutarou is close friends with Miku or something to say oyaji instead of chichi? Or what?
