Aug 29, 2015 at 11:30 | comment | added | user1478 | I think to be precise we should probably distinguish 助動詞 (e.g. 行きます or 行かない or 打つべし) from 補助動詞 (e.g. ~てしまう or ~ている) from V2 verbs that form 複合動詞 (e.g. 飲み込む or 食べ終わる). Unfortunately I don't know a short way to say that last one―in English or in Japanese! | |
