この文は訳して見たが、全然わからない。 "I lent John a/my radio."

でも、「て-やる」は、「貸して遣りました」と思った。

Is this a sentence you wrote or one you came across when reading something...? – Earthliŋ Nov 25 at 9:18

@Earthliŋ , it looks like it came from an online flashcard at a site like this one: quizlet.com/86116653/jap-grammar-1-flash-cards – ericfromabeno Nov 25 at 12:09
  • Exactly, its from a set that otherwise seems relatively on point so I was wondering whether there was a rare/unusual grammar related to it, since google searching it wouldn't yield any results – Hfgbrzl Nov 25 at 14:19

It should be a typo. It seems that they took the example sentences from 日本語文法辞典, where your example is written as: (7) c. 私はジョンにラジオを貸してやりました。I lent John my radio. – Chocolate Nov 25 at 15:11
