So I have this sentence :

写真は良い思い出になります

translated as : " Photographs bring back a lot of memory."

I personally read it as : " Photos will become great way to remember (the past/memories)"

because of the になります part, but am I missing something or is the translation wrong?

Sorry i had to ask, my brain is completely stuck on this one for some reason.

It is simply rewritten to sound better in English. Direct translation would be something like "(These) photos will be good memories." – bjorn Jun 1 '18 at 12:26
