I picked up a shirt in Japan that had the expression 酒好授嫌 on the back. I understand the meaning of the phrase, but I have only a vague idea of how you would actually say it.

  • This feels more like Chinese than Japanese, tbh. Jiouhaoshouxian - Can't really tell what it means, but if you had to read it in Japanese it would probably come out as しゅこうじゅけん. – Cong Hui Aug 11 '17 at 13:47

What do you understand the meaning to be? – ajsmart Aug 11 '17 at 15:33
  • I interpreted the meaning to be something like "I like alcohol and I hate classes" (the shirt was from a boys dorm at a Japanese university). – Sam Aug 11 '17 at 17:45
  • It might be an abreviation of 酒好き、授業嫌/嫌い(さけ すき、じゅぎょう いや/きらい, but I don't know how it would be read. – cerealeagle Dec 13 '17 at 2:20
