I live in Tokyo and want to get more comfortable with Japanese.
I sometimes write in lang8 at http://lang-8.com/342891, please check it if you want to friend or correct me.
I'm mostly focusing on reading/grammar now. http://www.youtube.com/user/jlptn1?feature=mhee is my youtube channel where I used to stream my jlpt n1 kanji/vocab flashcard study time. I passed it but just barely, so I'm still interested in studying for it.

Is 郵便 exclusive to Japan Post in this reading problem? @TsuyoshiIto I'll take it down if it bothers people. I understand the quantity is larger than a vocab problem, but I still thought it was fair use en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use if you want to use U.S. standards |

Expressing ethnicity that is different from nationality From the 在日韓国人 wikipedia page it suggests ethnic Koreans with Japanese nationality are 日本籍コリアン and not 韓国系日本人. Wonder if there are more exceptions |

~なければならない and ~によって auxiliary meanings Thanks, this helps with other parts of the sentence, but I'm having trouble with the 'must be sustained' part - this is what I was referring to when asking if なければならない might have other subtle meanings. 'is sustained' seems to be closer to me. 'must' or 'need' only makes sense to me here as 'by definition of bubble markets', but that leads to a circular definition since this sentence itself is a definition. |

“Instead” using 代わりに FYI, I just found 昼遊び in Soseki's garasudo no uchi (1915):「ジョンが殺されてから、無聊な彼は夜遊び昼遊びを覚えるようになった。」The context is that dogs are having fun and messing stuff up, no prostitutes here either. |
