When women use わ at the end of a sentence, is it different from よ? One place where I hear the feminine わ often in on TV shows where they translate from a foreign language into Japanese. It makes it sound as if the speakers are trying to be more feminine, but given the cultures the opposite should be true, so the resulting translation feels wrong. |
