comment When to use 洗濯する and 洗う?
@user1205935 Your example sentences didn't work. Also, when I used it to look up sentaku, I got the same definitions as I got with the other site.

Well I wrote: washing OR laundering clothes. I thought 洗濯 and 洗濯する could be used in both ways, since that's how the dictionaries define 洗濯. Here's an example. And yes, I did mean 洗濯する. Thank you.

comment How do you normally say calendar and date in Japanese?
@TsuyoshiIto The first question I looked up on Google Translate. This is after googling for it in general. Those are the answers I've received. The second question I also looked up on Google Translate and got 日付 ひづけ hidzuke. But this is Google Translate so not everything is accurate. I've used Genki and Minna no Nihongo as textbooks. They don't mention these two words. As a matter of fact a lot of Japanese tutorials don't mention these two words from what I've seen.

So does 仲間言葉 mean "opposite"? Because Google Translate says it means "vernacular". I tried two other dictionaries and they don't have the word in their dictionaries.

@istrasci No, I meant となり (隣). Isn't 隣 used for objects which are alike? I am completely unfamiliar with と+なり. So I definitely wasn't thinking of that.
