comment Is 「3人いるだと」 grammatical?
@Chocolate, is it grammatical if the 3人いるだ is treated as a quote? = "3人いるだ"と言いましたの?=Did you say it was three people?

comment Is 「3人いるだと」 grammatical?
@ogicu8abruok i think it is a shortened sentence. Maybe this is how it is shortened: 3人いるだと言いました?/3人いるだといった?/3人いるだと?

comment Could someone explain the ironic(?) use of よくいうよ?
I am posting my translations just so I remember them on this page: 4 Being impressed by someone doing something arduous and getting unimaginably delightful/gratifying results. 5 Rebuking someone for doing something ridiculous or senseless. A word using the meaning of 4 ironically.

comment What are some good ways to say “how to spell” in Japanese?
@oldergod i see 綴る used a lot there but it is not clear if it is used when asking general kana spelling. I was told by two Japanese people not to use it with japanese words so I asked the question.

ok. I got the sentence from a native speaker but I understand their writing may be poor.

Thank you. Then how about in this instance? 後ろ髪は前よりも短くなったので、お店を去って外に出たとき、寒かったです。 My hair in the back was shorter than before, so when I left the salon to go outside I could feel the cold.

comment Is ノシ considered 絵文字?
I learned that it is called both things so it was helpful to me. I apologize if you were offended or in any way put in a bad mood by the triviality of this question.
