Can “みたい” mean “want to see”? The grammatical difference is one is a noun: みたい [with だ] while みたい (見たい) is a verb conjugated in the form to mean 'want/desire' |

Using すみません instead of ありがとう Yes but there are different ways to be indebted to someone: via apology/you were lacking in skill or being thankful. すみません is better there. |

I am looking for an online Japanese dictionary with audio pronunciations Also, I use google.com/translate and you can then listen to the reading. It is not very good quality, however. It is best to learn the basics of the kana and their readings. |
