comment Different permutations of 気
I was looking for a more formal description, so I am not sure that native speakers can be of great help here. Weblio is nice, but I could not find what I was looking for.

Hard to forget stuff you don't know :) Are you talking about something like 人気がある?

comment Difference between に and が for intransitive verbs
@TsuyoshiIto Indeed, i considered them a transitive-intransitive pair. Moreover in JMDict, 受かる and 受ける are marked as intransitive and transitive respectively. Their meanings however dont seem to match and i realize my mistake now. How is it possible to identify those "fake" transitive-intransitive pairs?

I don't really understand (i know its my problem, so please bear with me). ドアが閉まります means "the door is closing" right? So why 試験が受かる can't mean something like "the exam was passed".

comment In which situations is が used with 曲がる?
Thanks. I knew that you could use を for 行く and 出る but i was not sure that you could also use this for 曲がる. Does it mean that as long as something describes "motion along something" it is possible to use を? Thats what i uderstood from the link by @istrasci.
