Difference between (遊び)方 and (遊ぶ)方法 @Billy My point was that "your method of sitting is not proper" is clumsy (just like you said). It is also clumsy in Japanese. Just like Flaw is saying in his answer: 方法 is methodical "way of doing". You dont need a method to sit in the chair, there is no instructions list that you need to follow. But you can sit on the chair with your legs crossed or at an angle and that would be a non-methodical "way of doing" |

Difference between (遊び)方 and (遊ぶ)方法 @Billy for example you can say 座り方(すわりかた)which translates to "way of sitting". You can say 座り方が悪い(すわりかたがわるい) which would mean "not sitting properly". You can't use 方法 in this context. Its roughly saying "your method of sitting is not proper" in English. |
