Definition and use of やれやれだ The best I found is this. The やれ interrogation (eg: やれ、誰それ) seems to be the original use and then it evolved to やれやれ as an interjection. |

What is the difference between 越える and 越す and are they truly transitive verbs? Are you talking about 越す/超える(title & text) or 越す/越える(examples)? different 漢字 often imply a different meaning. |

Why is it なさそう and not なそう Reference 未然形 - 打消. 無い as a 形容詞 and ない as 助動詞 are just homonyms (and have a close meaning to confuse the things even more). |

What's the difference between 捕らえる and 捕まえる? Nice catch. That's why I used "main" :). The とる reading for 摂 is not part of the 常用漢字, so I shortened it here. |

“don't say it, if you don't want to” in japanese "言わない" is not an adjective but 言う verb 未然形 + ない 助動詞. "言わなく" would be 言う verb 未然形 + ない 助動詞 連用形. |
