I work for IBM Canada on the Eclipse Platform (www.eclipse.org) and am a graduate of the University of Waterloo.

I study Japanese and Sogetsu ikebana and spend my free time playing the piano, reading light novels and visual novels, watching anime, playing video games, and programming.

comment What is the real difference between the proper use of the words さむい and つめたい?
Perhaps you could provide some examples of scenarios in the past where you have been confused about which was the right adjective to use?

Well I think Nate's three examples explain the meaning of this phrase quite well (depending on the context it could be any of the three). What do you need further clarification on?

comment What is the difference between 「はずがない」 and 「わけがない」?
Hasen J is right here in that "hazu" means that the speaker is surprised by the outcome of something. I'd say that "wake" is more assertive in the example given, effectively stating that there's no way the other person could possibly understand so-and-so.
