Is there a way to differentiate て and って when transcribing speech? @user1306322 Thanks for the hint. What a strange system that doesn't allow you to upvote an answer for your own question... @ tama Welcome to the club of people who can upvote answers to their own questions ;) |

Is there a way to differentiate て and って when transcribing speech? @tama There is a button with an upward facing triangle for upvoting on the left hand side of this post... If this didn't answer your question, I think it would be helpful if you at least clarified your question (by editing it), because as far as I can tell it does answer your question in its current form: "Is there a way to differentiate て and って when transcribing speech?" with answer "Yes, you can by context". |

What's the difference between どうして and どうやって? I think "how come" is better. So どうして "how come", [何]{なん}で "why", どうやって "how" and [何]{なに}で "by what means". |

Why is topology called 位相幾何学? @snailplane Although the subject is called 位相幾何学, the concept of a topology (as in collection of open sets) is just called 位相 in Japanese. So we really need a correspondence 位相 <=> topology. |
