Took Japanese on and off through college (2 years of classwork total). Studied abroad at Kanazawa Institute of Technology for one summer. Anime and video game enthusiast. Always interested in polishing my skills. My greatest sources of practice these days are watching anime and playing Japan exclusive video games. Right now I have a goal to read a Japanese 17 x 11 book cover to cover.

大学の時日本語を断続的に勉強しました。ある夏金沢工業大学で留学しました。アニメやビデオゲームや興味があります。いつも技能を磨きたいんです。主な練習の仕方はアニメを見たり日本語のビデオゲームをしたりすることです。 今私の目標は日本語の新書を読むことです。

Quite different from what others have said. Might this be a regional thing?

If you read carefully, you'll notice the English is not a translation of the Japanese. The dialog is entirely different, the only similarity between them being that they both make a similar play on words. Unless you're saying that "someone who's so smart that they can control air with their mind" is an accurate translation of "天気を毎日おんなじにしちゃう神様の特殊スキルだね"?

comment What is the difference between 出す and 始める when used as a suffix?
I'm always skeptical of "more formal". In general, if something says "more formal" as an explanation, it's either wrong, or there's a lot more to it than that.

comment How to separate words in a Japanese sentence?
@Pitarou "私はあくまで執事ですから。" Sebastian's catch phrase from Black Butler is a good example.

comment How do you write the sound “wu”?
@istrasci Swoozie Kurtz doesn't have her own Japanese wikipedia page, but I managed to find her name on the page for Liar Liar. It's transcribed スウージー・カーツ.

Why not look up each word individually, or type in each word and see what the IME gives you?
