Garbage-collecting duck-typer. Test-infected. Hopefully he is not alone who would like UNIX rewritten with GC memory and closure support in system, kernel API in Javascript, (Python, Ruby, Smalltalk), and C layer deprecated and emulated on top of the former.
I use Windows on workstation and FreeBSD on server.
Recently dipped myself into the mobile app world.

に vs で with state of being (but no verb) I am wondering what I got the downvote for in this answer - there isn't anything false there, is it? |

に vs で with state of being (but no verb) I can't, on a spot. You have began your question with "All the に vs で comparisons I can find ..." so I think they have more examples; as I said, it doesn't matter if you do state of being or a verb; treat is as a verb (BTW you effectively used a verb since です is historically contraction of であります ;-) ). |

います and あります usage +1. I never knew that things are this way: "車がいます。 if it is being driven by a human.". Thank you. |

Is it standard practice, or acceptable, to connect strokes in certain characters of hiragana? Ad link: Wow! That "seal style" is cool, looks like an Egyptian inscription. I did not know of it. |

What is って doing in this sentence? guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar/clause, section "Using relative verb clauses as adjectives" explains it nicely. |
