Can I say なるほど when talking with customers? Thank you! But actually, a Japanese says なるほどですねぇ does not sound natural, even though some people use it. |

Can I say なるほど when talking with customers? My colleagues are Japanese, and do say なるほど to customers (who are usually 部長 of some large company). |

What's the difference in usage and nuance between やはり and やっぱり? +1 During very formal speeches, for instance at conferences, the speaker does not use やっぱり, always やはり. |

Does anyone have advice on how to get over/through/around the intermediate language plateau? (Self-learner) +1 It is also a good way to measure progress (Anki for instance shows nice statistics) and thus keep motivated. To my words list, I add all new words I hear/read at work. Adding words is very fast using Rikaichan's "s" shortcut then importing once in a while. |

Differences among -たら、なら、-んだったら、-えば, etc. Would 行くと be a candidate to enter your list? |

Differences among -たら、なら、-んだったら、-えば, etc. I don't know the difference between all of them but for instance 行ったら is less polite than 行けば |
