Tags
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Using the right tags makes it easier for others to find and answer your question.
自然言語処理. Natural language processing. Use this tag for questions related to processing Japanese with software, such as tokenization or morphological analysis.
名詞化. Turning a grammatical constituent such as a clause into a noun phrase, often using a nominalizing particle or formal noun such as の or こと.
名詞. A part of speech typically denoting a person, thing, place or idea.
ニュアンス. Subtle differences between two seemingly interchangeable expressions.
数字. The various spoken and written forms of words and characters covering digits, numbers, numerals, including derived forms such as ordinals.
A noun, noun phrase or pronoun which represents the person or thing affected by the action of the verb.
歴史的仮名遣. Kana no longer in common use.
罵り言葉. Words that potentially offend Japanese speakers in any situation. Including epithets, slurs, profanity, expletives, or obscene words.
送り仮名. Kana written after a kanji to complete the full reading of the word.
上代日本語. A historical stage of Japanese which has the oldest attestation in documents currently known. Typically seen in 万葉集 (Man'yōshū; late 8c).
擬声語. Mimetic words representing sounds.
