I am Japanese by blood but grew up in the U.S. and never learned the language. The most I have ever learned, actually, are hiragana, katakana and a few kanji. Which was something I forced myself to learn when my parents and I took a trip to my father's hometown when I was a child. Didn't really help much when I couldn't understand anything!
Enough about me, though! I apologize for going off-topic. It's just nice to see a community like this. I want to ask about LinguaLift, to anyone who has learned Japanese through them or are currently taking their course.
Is this a solid learning tool? Will completing the Lingualift course bring you to the point of fluency in both speech and kanji recognition? How many chapters are in this eTextbook of theirs? Please, I'd like to begin learning as soon as possible!
