Are there good Japanese TV dramas for a Japanese learner whose Japanese is at basic level? Do you have any recommendations?

Hmm, I can't think of any TV dramas or movies that use only basic Japanese... Does it have to be a drama? Have you tried anime, such as Ghibli? – Chocolate Mar 21 '12 at 8:17

This one seems like it would be a difficult one to answer. Have you tried any TV shows or anime that are aimed at kids, or shows staring kids? At Home Dad might be a good one, or as Chocolate said try some Ghibli – Jamie Taylor Mar 21 '12 at 9:03
